Facebook, a Waste of Time, פיסבוק - בזבוז זמן

Facebook, a popular social networking website, has become a household item, much like your telephone book. Many people are hooked onto it as they spend many hours a day updating their statuses, commenting on news items or their Facebook friends' statuses, watching photos and images, playing games. All of this is a waste of time.

Sure, there are Jewish organizations that use Facebook for spreading Torah and news. But if you are a Facebook user, you know that Facebook can be very distracting. Imagine, getting glued to each and every news item that pops up every few minutes, after having joined so many Facebook pages and groups.

Children, not only parents have Facebook accounts.  Not knowing if these children know how to use the Facebook privacy settings on their accounts, these children could inadvertently share their private information including pictures and videos of a personal nature with their "friends" or "friends of friends" or even the public.

We are at a time where we need to get into some serious self-examination. We need to decide what's important.  Facebook or Hashem. When we spend time not serving G-d, we are wasting time and surrendering to the Yetzer Hara.  At this time, it's most important to concentrate on teshuva. Our souls and lives depend on it.
