We learn from Parashas Noach the various sins that led to the final deluge of the flood that drowns the entire generation of Noach's time except for Noach and his family and his animals. Immorality, decadence, theft. In fact, Rashi states that the word חמס which usually means violence (like the name of the terrorist group Hamas), refers to robbery. Other sins preceded this sin of robbery but the sin of robbery is the last straw. Similarly, the disasters that Hashem has brought upon this generation has been mostly tsunamis, floods, hurricanes and of course earthquakes. Rav Eli Mansour in his shiur, "Teshuvah", says that our sins in this generation are no different than in the times of the generation of Noach. We don't have to be geniuses to see the immorality, immodesty, decadence, and theft around us. So, Hashem brought upon similar punishments to this generation.
When the Asian Tsunami occured a decade ago, maybe, the message was not meant for the nations, but meant for us. The sins of immodesty which leads to immorality and indecency are upon Am Yisrael. The B'nos Yisrael and N'shei Yisrael have to focus on this sin of immodesty and correct it with tznius. The sins of homosexuality are related to the punishment of earthquakes as you all know, from the Gemara, and who's to blame? The Jewish nation. We are not fault-free. In fact, when we stray, Hashem takes notice. Hashem doesn't punish us right away, but brought disasters upon the world on account of us. We didn't listen then, but we should listen now. The signs are all so clear. Rav Eli Mansour says that man and women are created different and are supposed to look different, unlike the animals which all look the same and mate amongst themselves. If humans were to appear the same, then it leads to homosexuality and immorality.
Lastly, for the Jewish women -- focus on MODESTY. This is not only my advice but advice among the rabbis of this generation (Rav Mansour, Rav Mizrachi, Rav Brody, etc.) Cover your hair (if you're married), dress modestly, don't flirt, leave Facebook. For the Jewish man -- focus on MODESTY. Learn Torah, don't chat with the women too much and of course, don't befriend women in your social circles (esp. Facebook and the like). Watch your eyes. Men and women should not address each other by their first names, unless it's their spouses or family. The book "Modesty, Adornment for Life" by Rabbi Eliyahu Falk, is a critical resource for this degenerate generation today. The "Tznius Handbook", a companion to the Modesty book is also a must. Learn what is considered "ervah" (parts of the body that needs to be covered) and cover yourself accordingly.
