Rabbi Duvi BenSoussan's excellent shiur on speeding up the coming of Moshiach, with our diligent yearning and waiting for him everyday. Are you waiting for Moshiach? The Rabbi tells us that we should just jump up and go when Moshiach comes. Don't come up with excuses that we have to do this, this, this, and that, and that, .... before we can go.
He also gives today's living examples of Jews who are/were "living" and "waiting" for Moshiach. The Chofetz Chaim had a special suit only for Moshiach. What have you prepared for the anticipation of Moshiach?
The Rabbi then goes on to connect the mitzvah of shiluach haken (the sending of the mother bird from her nest) to Moshiach. By sending away the mother bird, and taking away her egg(s), the mother bird cries up to Heaven and invokes mercy from Heaven. This then invokes Hashem to cry over His children and to bring Moshiach already to redeem them.
The last lesson in this shiur is the importance to attain forgiveness from another Jew and to forgive them in turn. Because Yosef HaTzadik did not explicitly forgive his brothers, there was an accounting in Heaven that led to the events of the Ten Martyrs (the ten Rabbis who were tortured by the Romans and put to death). So, I take this opportunity to ask you, my readers to forgive me if my writings have insulted you. Of course, I forgive you too.
